It’s been several days of ups and down, and of metaphors.
At one point I felt as though anything positive I might be feeling or thinking was surrounded by huge, tsunami-like waves.
Be grateful, be present, be connected, said my coach.
I have worked extensively on that – and come up with a new marketing plan, a new set of goals and targets and a set of daily practices that are helping.
I woke up this morning at 2am, for a moment fearing as though it would be one of those “lie awake for hours” things. An image came into the mind: I am now a small, creaky wooden boat, floating on a wide sea, bathed in golden light. The threats are still there, lying beneath the surface of the sea. My position is fragile. But – I am above the water, and the sun is shining.
My job is to tend to that small, wooden boat.
Then I went to sleep again.
