I did my quarterly review over the Easter weekend.
The process involves looking at the past three months and then seeing what I want to get done in the next three months. I do this 90-day plan every three months. I do set goals for the year – but I find that three-month “sprints” feel more immediate and doable.
I found that I had achieved quite a lot in the first three months of 2024 – particularly in the learning goals I set myself. There’s no need to change any of the goals I set at the beginning of the year. My primary focus remains something I call “get off the treadmill” – which means reviewing and changing my business model. Essentially finding ways to stabilise my income.
And that means marketing. I’ve (yet again) changed the way I present myself to the world, based on advice from my burnout coach. Do all the things you can do, she said, but tell the world you only do one thing. That means I am now presenting myself primarily as a high-end writer. The revamp of all my social platforms and business website happened this last week. Now we see how it works!
